The Africa Twin now has a more focused off-road sibling. Honda unveiled the Enduro Sports at EICMA alongside new versions of the Africa Twin and Adventure Sports, giving the 2027 family three distinct directions. The Enduro gets rally-derived front suspension and the lowest weight of the three, while Adventure Sports takes the touring brief and the option of Honda's new radar assistance.

More capacity, fuel carried lower

All three use a 1,131cc liquid-cooled parallel twin, up from 1,084cc. Claimed output is 87.5kW at 7,500rpm and 119Nm, with changes to the bore, compression ratio, intake, exhaust and gearing accompanying the extra capacity. Honda has also moved some fuel beneath the seat in a sub-tank, aiming to lower the centre of gravity. The redesigned frame and swingarm together save a claimed 1.4kg over the previous generation.

Africa Twin: the all-rounder

The standard Africa Twin remains the middle ground for riders mixing road miles with dirt. It keeps a 21-inch front wheel and has an adjustable 850/870mm seat. In manual form, its quoted full-tank weight is 237kg. Showa EERA electronic suspension now incorporates Honda's Skyhook technology, and an electrically adjustable screen and Smart Key bring extra convenience to everyday use.

Enduro Sports: more room for the dirt

Enduro Sports makes a more committed choice for the dirt. Its front suspension draws on the CRF450 RALLY, and Honda gives it its own rally-inspired bodywork. A 21-inch front wheel, 260mm of ground clearance and a taller 870/890mm seat go with a quoted 228kg full-tank weight for the manual model. That's 9kg less than the manual Africa Twin, though it also means a 20mm taller seat in either position.

Adventure Sports: built around road miles

Adventure Sports goes the other way, with a 19-inch front wheel, a lower 830/850mm seat and a larger 24.2-litre tank. It retains Showa EERA electronic suspension and is the natural choice here for riders who put long road days first. The manual version is listed at 245kg; the DCT version with SENSING RIDE is 256kg.

What SENSING RIDE adds

SENSING RIDE is optional on Adventure Sports DCT. Radar units at the front and rear support adaptive cruise control, blind-spot alerts and warnings about approaching traffic. With DCT handling the clutch and gears, adaptive cruise also gains Stop & Go. Group Ride Assist is designed to recognise staggered riding formations when helping maintain the gap ahead.

Blind-spot information appears in the mirrors, while Rear Collision Warning flashes the indicators to alert following traffic to a potential collision. Emergency Brake Assist adds braking support when the rider brakes and a collision with a vehicle ahead is possible. These functions remain subject to operating limits.
