Rev & Reason uses personal information to deliver this website, answer messages and send the newsletter you ask for. We don't sell your information.

Information we use
When you subscribe, we record your email address, signup request, confirmation and the page you signed up from. If you email us, we use your address and message to reply. Our servers receive technical information, including your IP address, to load pages and prevent abuse.
The newsletter
A subscription covers one weekly motorcycle newsletter. You join after confirming your email and can unsubscribe at any time. Every issue will include an unsubscribe link.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict its use, or request a portable copy where applicable. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and complain to your local data protection authority.
Site analytics
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records visits, articles read, scrolls, downloads, link clicks and newsletter signup requests, along with device, approximate location and traffic source information. It uses a browser identifier to distinguish visits. We don't send it your email address, newsletter confirmation links or private editor activity.
Analytics relies on your consent. Change your cookie settings to withdraw it. We keep event-level analytics data for up to 14 months; aggregate reports may remain longer. Why we use this information
Newsletter delivery relies on your consent. Website security and handling enquiries rely on our legitimate interests in running the publication and responding to messages.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed signup requests are deleted after seven days.
- Confirmed subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe. We remove your email address after it has been unsubscribed for 30 days, keeping a minimal opt-out record to prevent unwanted mail.
- Enquiry messages are kept for handling your question, any follow-up and related disputes.
- Abuse-prevention counters expire within 48 hours. Deleted information can remain in rotating recovery backups, normally for up to four weeks.
Service providers and international processing
We use providers for website delivery, storage, security and email. They receive the information needed to provide those services. Some processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. You can ask us for details of the providers and transfer arrangements. We also disclose information when legally required.
