Ducati has shown the Desmo250 EDS at EICMA, extending its off-road plans into a 250cc four-stroke enduro. European availability is scheduled for July 2027, and the motorcycle will be part of the 2028 model range. It is still a preview, with the full technical specification to follow.
An enduro preview
The display bike has the expected enduro equipment around its narrow red bodywork: a headlight, handguards, long front mudguard and a high-mounted exhaust. Ducati describes the engine's delivery and low weight as priorities, though it has not yet published a final power or mass figure. There is no useful reason to fill those gaps with numbers from a motocross model.

The smaller displacement gives Ducati another entry point into off-road competition and trail riding alongside its larger machines. Its appeal will depend on the finished chassis, gearing and engine response as much as its capacity, particularly for riders who value a bike they can keep working through technical terrain.
Market plans
US availability and pricing are unconfirmed. An Italian retail price is also still to come, ahead of the planned European introduction next summer.
