Kymco has shown production versions of the CV-X45 and X-Town S 350 at EICMA. The CV-X45 takes the crossover route, with a 427cc liquid-cooled single and longer suspension. The X-Town S 350 concentrates on road travel, storage and a more extensive everyday equipment package.

CV-X45: the crossover chassis

The CV-X45 uses Kymco's PTM transmission arrangement, intended to reduce unsprung mass. A 41mm upside-down fork and centrally mounted six-link rear suspension give 150mm of travel at each end. Three riding modes, cruise control, a full-colour display and a 13.5-litre tank are included.

X-Town: storage and road equipment

The X-Town uses a new frame with a 1,500mm wheelbase. Its 7-inch TFT, keyless ignition and emergency-stop signal are joined by ABS and traction control. Suspension travel is 100mm at the front and 108mm at the rear, with five-step preload adjustment on the twin shocks.

An adjustable screen, two USB-C ports, 41.9 litres of underseat storage and a 13.3-litre tank make the X-Town the more directly practical road option. Its brakes use a 260mm front disc and 240mm rear disc.
