KTM has brought a new twin-cylinder RC to EICMA. The 450 RC sits in the entry and middle-displacement sportbike space, with a single-sided swingarm, adjustable WP suspension and a 5-inch TFT. It is a preview of a 2028 model, with production scheduled for late 2027.
Adjustable WP suspension and a single front disc
The front end uses a 43mm WP APEX upside-down fork with compression and rebound adjustment. The WP APEX shock has preload and rebound adjustment. Those are useful distinctions for riders interested in setting the bike up for different roads or circuit use: the fork lets them alter how it controls movement in both directions, while the rear also provides a way to set spring preload.
A single 320mm front disc works with a radial four-piston WP caliper. Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tyres are standard. The single-sided swingarm is a conspicuous part of the new bike's design, and the overall package gives the smaller RC a more elaborate chassis specification than a simple introductory model might suggest.

Electronics and production timing
Cornering ABS, traction control and multiple riding modes are part of the announced equipment. Road and Supermoto ABS settings are included, with the controls accessed through the TFT. USB-A and USB-C ports cover everyday charging. Final engine figures are due nearer production.

KTM plans to begin production in late 2027 and sell the bike as a 2028 model. US and EU prices and availability are still unconfirmed. That makes the Milan bike a useful look at the next RC, while the final engine figures and market specification will have to follow.
US and European pricing is still to be confirmed.
